The first of the Colony Bancorp projects with 23 commercial units, 6161 Santa Monica began as artist lofts and evolved into creative offices. Original tenants from 1988 remain in the property as part of a loyal tenant base. The unique building has been home to the Colony Bancorp home offices for over 10 years.

6161 is a creative office and loft building located in the center of Hollywood, a prime location in Los Angeles with a number of flexible layouts and varying sizes for the units, which also boast hardwood floors and others polished concrete. Photo studios at the building have been used by notable photographers such as Annie Liebovitz and Playboy. The rooftop deck includes a revolving photo cyclorama.
